It really is a small world.

I just so happened to come across Mitch Gallagher’s music on Facebook several weeks ago and thought it was really good. Nice tunes and heartfelt lyrics – what country music should be about instead of what some of it is about today.
Through talking with Gallagher via Twitter, I found that we had mutual friends in Katie Basden and Tyler Barham. Both of whom are country recording artists and have been featured on my blog. Gallagher is also an independent country recording artist who has really made his presence known for just the short amount of time he has produced music to iTunes.
The Maryville, Mo. native started out with good success on country radio, releasing two singles from his debut EP that gained support from stations in five different states. At the time of the EP release, Gallagher became the only independent artist to chart in the Top 50 iTunes Country Albums, according to his website. Gallagher released a brand new EP on March 11 called Where the Heart Is and it’s featured on the “New and Noteworthy” section on iTunes. It also cracked the Top 50 Country Albums chart and charted at No. 8 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart in the West North Central division.
Have a listen to the first track off his new EP. It’s awesome!
