This band is taking the social media world by storm with a new song that has gone viral.

AJR is a New York City-based, indie pop band made up of brothers: Adam, Jack and Ryan Met. The band first started performing in 2005, busking in places like Central Park. According to the band’s Wiki page, Ryan tweeted a link to one of the band’s songs to tons of celebrities, including Australian singer Sia Furler. She, in turn, contacted her manager and he contacted Steve Greenberg, founder and CEO of S-Curve Records. Things have really taken off since then. The song – “I’m Ready” – has exploded onto the scene, with thousands of copies of the single sold each week, features on Billboard and 1.5 million views on YouTube, according to the band’s Facebook.

AJR has a unique sound and the songs match it. “I’m Ready” has a cool beat to it that is very infectious. What I really admire most about the band is its members really didn’t have any outside help getting discovered. Not to mention, the band’s tunes are authentic and not filled with a bunch of fluff. They’re awesome!
