Christmas Tunes Part IV

This final Christmas tune is a brand new one.

Spencer Day’s song “Christmas With You” is about as new as it gets. Released on December 2, the song is the quintessential Christmas song in my opinion. It has a great jazz and big band feel. In fact, Day recorded the song with The Joel Evans Big Band, so, there you have it.

Day was raised in a small town in Arizona by his mother, an accomplished music teacher and soprano vocalist, from whom Day draws most of his inspiration. Day’s website also notes the likes of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Roy Orbison and others as creative influences for the jazz crooner.

Day has produced five studio albums in his career and that has resulted in big success. Daybreak, Day’s latest album, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Jazz chart and No. 20 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. With his silky smooth vocals and powerful songwriting, it’s really no surprise that all of this success has come to Day.
