This week, I’m going back to the EDM side of the music industry with a new tune from Martin Garrix.

Garrix is a Dutch-born DJ/producer that has garnered much acclaim in the past few years. Signed under Spinnin’ Records, Garrix is most notable for his multi-platinum hit “Animals,” which was a Top 10 hit in several countries. The song peaked at No. 1 in Belgium and the U.K. as well as No. 3 in Ireland.

Garrix was born Martijn Garritsen but goes by the stage name Martin Garrix. The passion for music began at a very young age and, by age 8, Garrix expressed interest in becoming a DJ after seeing DJ Tiesto perform. Garrix recently finished the Herman Brood Academy, a production school, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Garrix works in several capacities, encompassing the full spectrum of writing, producing and performing.

The latest work from Garrix is a collaboration with Usher called “Don’t Look Down.” Just in its first two weeks out, the song has been well received. Customer reviewers have given “Don’t Look Down” almost a perfect five stars on iTunes and it has been featured on numerous websites.
