About three years ago, I featured a talented actor and singer/songwriter named Hudson Thames. So, for my first “New Music Monday” feature of 2016, I decided to go back to Thames as he just released a brand spanking new EP.

I first saw Thames as Sage on the ABC series Malibu Country and learned soon after that he was also a musician, discovering his song “Easy” and I almost immediately became a fan. It’s hard to not be a fan, really. The Los Angeles-born crooner has produced some darn good music, shifting from the piano-driven “Easy” to releasing a debut project, Lip Tricks. Each tune on the EP has its own distinct style and flavor. I could very well feature each of the songs on the EP here but I’ll go with the widely popular “How I Want Ya” for now. Not only is the song great, the lyric video for it is out of this world!
