I discovered Tony Wedral on YouTube some time back and really started liking his videos. Many are pretty funny and entertaining to watch. I became a fan quickly thereafter and that turned into a mutual following on Twitter. I’ve been keeping up with Wedral since and found out that he’s not just another YouTube personality. In fact, he’s actually a pretty darn good musician as well.
According to his bio, Wedral began writing songs as a 10-year-old and continued honing his craft throughout his teen years. Wedral started up his YouTube channel in 2014, saying that he produced videos about really any topic that came to mind – reminds me of the reasoning behind my blog. Wedral’s channel has grown in popularity over the years and currently has almost 9,000 subscribers and 110,000 total views. Now to the music, Wedral released a debut EP entitled The Next Step on January 21 and it’s really good. I’m just starting to listen to it and the first thing I recognize is Wedral’s superb songwriting capability.
