1. From Durham with Love

I want to kick off this week’s “Friday Five” by talking about an amazing benefit for Hurricane Matthew victims. My friend, Katie Basden, is spearheading an event on November 11 called “From Durham with Love.” The event, in collaboration with Durham Share, will take place at The Rickhouse in Durham. It will feature live music, a silent auction, a “Fill the Truck” collection and more. I can’t tell you how proud I am of Katie for doing this. I know it will be a wonderful evening for a great cause. 2. MacBook Update

I talked last week about Apple unveiling its new MacBook Pro and whether or not I would get one. I’m in dire need of a laptop – my current one is on its last leg – so I bit the bullet and ordered one! I figured, why not, and ordered the 13-inch model with Touch Bar. Like I’ve said previously, this is my first ever Mac anything so I hope it’ll be good. I think it will.

3. My Panthers Experience

Now for another update, I had a cool first experience at a Carolina Panthers game! I had great seats and it’s always better if the good guys win. Cam and the fellas looked like the Panthers team that went 15-1 last season, beating the Arizona Cardinals 30-20. I hope to go back soon!

I'll be there and, coincidentally, N.C. State upset the Seminoles the last time I saw these two teams play in person at Carter-Finley. I'm definitely hoping for a repeat!
