1. LNWR Recap

What a time at this year’s Late Night with Roy! It’s always fun but this year was extra special given the team unveiled the 2017 National Championship Banner, adding its seventh such banner to the Dean Smith Center rafters. I was so glad I could be there to witness it in person!

2. N.C. State Swimming & Diving Opens Season

Next up is my alma mater, where the Wolfpack Swimming & Diving teams open up their season with a home meet against Penn State and Duke. The Pack men and women are ranked No. 5 and No. 7 in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) preseason poll, respectively, so it should be good.

3. Primetime with the Pack

Also taking place is N.C. State Basketball’s “Primetime with the Pack” event. The event in Reynolds Coliseum will take place in front of a capacity crowd which should be a lot of fun as well.

I plan on, somehow, attending both events so be on the lookout on my Twitter and Insta for more!

4. KFC’s Twitter

The Twitterverse is abuzz after discovering something unique about the official KFC Twitter account. The account follows 11 people. Big whoop, right? Well, as @Edgette22 points out, those 11 people are six guys named “Herb” and five Spice Girls. Do you get it? Yes, 11 herbs and spices.

5. N.C. State Fair Photo Competition Update

I’ll make this short and sweet: another year, another losing entry.  Okay, maybe I shouldn’t be that harsh. But, after eight years of entering photos that receive no recognition, it gets frustrating. In case you haven’t been to the N.C. State Fair to see it on display, you still can in the Kerr Scott Building through Sunday. Just walk inside the front and to the left. My photo is at the end of the first row of photos, on the left.
