Friday Five: On Pack Men’s Swimming At NCAAs, A Hoops Season Recap, And Wolfpack Women Still Dancing

1. Pack Men’s Turn in Austin

The N.C. State Men’s Swimming and Diving team is competing at the 2019 NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas this week. The Pack has already earned some hardware in just two days of competition. Highlighted by the team of Andreas Vazaios, Coleman Stewart, Jacob Molacek, and Justin Ress earning silver in the 800 Freestyle Relay to open up the NCAAs.

The team currently sits in fourth place overall. Make sure to stay tuned to @PackSwimDive for updates on all the events.

2. What A Ride

It’s been a pretty wild ride for N.C. State Men’s hoops this season. The season, unfortunately, came to an end on Wednesday night in the NIT Quarterfinals. I had a blast attending all three of State’s NIT games at historic Reynolds Coliseum with 5,500 of my fellow Wolfpack fans, despite the loss. Those three games provided the best atmospheres I have ever been a part of, particularly the one on Wednesday. As an added bonus, I scored some sweet pics from the games and posted them to my photo gallery. Make sure to check them out!

3. Wolfpack Women Still Dancing

The N.C. State Women’s Basketball team is still dancing! The Pack took care of business at home in Raleigh and will head to Greensboro for regional action beginning Saturday with a battle against two-seed Iowa in the Sweet 16. Go Pack!

4. Us Review

In case you missed it, head over to read my review on Jordan Peele’s Us. A truly remarkable film that I will be seeing again.

5. Starting Up Soon

It’s hard to believe but it’s almost time for Durham Bulls Baseball again. We’ll get a little taste of it on Tuesday when the Bulls face Duke in an exhibition at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Durham is looking for a three-peat of championships and could very well do it with several pieces from its previous two championship squads on track to return this season. Head over here for all the info on schedule, tickets, and more. I’ll see you at the ballpark!
