Here’s a quick little feature on a trio of talented artists named Sadie Hawkins.

The Nashville, TN based group is comprised of Tristan Bushman, Gatlin, and Daniel Kim Ethridge. Each pursuing solo ventures in the industry, the three co-writers and friends decided to combine their powers to form this group. Since, Sadie Hawkins released its debut single “The Way You Break My Heart” as well as a self-titled EP in 2019.

On a personal note, I’ve been (social media) friends with Bushman for several years now. I’ve been a fervent supporter of his solo career and I’m stoked to support Sadie Hawkins as well. The group’s sound can be described as vibey, folksy, and indie-pop. Its latest release “In the Dark” fits that bill. Bushman takes the lead vocal backed by a smooth, up tempo rhythm. Unsurprisingly, the accompanying songwriting is masterful which puts the icing on the cake with this tune.
