You know him. You love him. Well, yours truly had an opportunity to chat with Stranger Things star, Gaten Matarazzo on Saturday!

This is not the first time I’ve met Gaten. I first got to meet this multi-talented dude at Raleigh Supercon (now called GalaxyCon) in 2017. Check out my post from then if you want a refresher.

Three years later, Gaten is back for another GalaxyCon. It felt a bit different given the times but it was still a blast. Better still, all proceeds from today went to his charity, CCD Smiles. The organization works to raise awareness for Cleidocranial Dysplasia as well as help those who have it to be able to cover medical expenses and the like.

So, without further ado, check out the video below for our (virtual) meetup! A couple things: 1) I’m not a fan of watching myself. 2) 90 seconds go by fast! By the time we said hello, talked about the con in Raleigh, talked about quarantine life, and took a picture together (unexpected) we had 15 seconds left! I had time to fit in a quick question about him being executive producer (EP) on his new Netflix show Prank Encounters.

Shoutout to Gaten and GalaxyCon for organizing this. I know it was a tremendous task moving what are traditionally in person events to solely virtual. However, everything ran smoothly, all things considered. I’m stoked to continue to follow Gaten in his career and I’m looking forward to what’s next for him!
